(1) The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in. His voice dropped to a whisper. "Let it come in. We think we dont deserve love, we think
if we let it in we'll become too soft. But a wise man called Levine said it right. Love is the only rational act. (2) Sometimes, in the mornings, that's when i mourn. I feel around my body,
I move my fingers and my hands--whatever I can still move-- and I mourn for what I've lost. I mourn the slow, insidious way in which I am dying. But then, i stop. I give myself a good cry if
i need it. But then I concentrate on all the good things still in my life. YOU. (3) The culture doesnt encourage us to think about regrets until you're about to die. We're so wrapped up with
egotistical things, career, family, having enough money--trillions of little acts just to keep going. We dont have the habit to stand back and look at our lives "Is this all I want?" You need
someone to probe you in that direction. It doesnt happen automatically. I have found my teacher. Have you found yours? (4) Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live. Listen to that bird
on your shoulder, if you accept that you can die at any time, you might not be as ambitious as you are. (5) Love each other or perish. Family-- nothing else can give you spiritual security. Not
money, not fame. (6) Learn to detach. Dont cling to things, because everything is impermanent. Let the experience penetrate you fully. That's how you are able to leave it. If you dont allow yourself
to go all the way through them, you can never get to being detached. You're too busy being afraid, afraid of pain, grief and vulnerability. Throw yourself into these emotions. Dive in, all the way.
Then, you will know what the emotions are, and detach. (7) You have to find what's good and true and beautiful in your life as it is now. Looking back makes you competitive. And age, is not
competitive. How can I be envious of where you are--when I've been there myself? (8) Devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community and people around you, create something
that gives you meaning. Do the kinds of things that come from the heart. When you do, you wont be dissatified, envious and longing for someone else's things. On the contrary, you'll be overwhelmed
with what comes back. (9) Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone.Think of my voice and I will be there. (10) Respect, compromise and talk openly. Have a common set of values in life with
your partner. (11) The biggest defect we human beings have is our short-sightedness. Invest in the human family. Invest in those you love and who love you. In the beginning of life, when we were infants,
we need others to survive, right? At the end of life, you need others to survive right? (12) Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Tears are okay. Life is a tension of opposites. (13) As long as we can love
each other, and remember, the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. Death ends a life, not a rlnship. (14) I love you, Coach. He had finally made me cry.

world cup is officially over.. at about 5plus this morning after a penalty shootout. italy 5-france 3. i knew italy will win. just not with zinedine zidane in the dressing room. i want him to witness how he lost to the italians. i want him to know what's like to lose or to cause Brazil and Portugal to lose.
what a buffling match. it left me with questions.. what on earth did that italian defender say to zidane that let him lose his head? from a Mr Cool-headed Gentleman to Mr Header.
If u all dont know, the sportslabel that Zidane endorses (Adidas or Nike, i dunno which one), has a famous quote to his header that crashed Brazil in 1998. the Quote is, "We gave him a pair of soccer boots, he used his head." HOW APT this statement now.. we gave him a chance to shine in the finals w his boots, he used his head to get himself a red card... referee also the same... did one on rooney and now on zidane.
I have a successor for Austin powers- International Man of Mystery.. the successor's name is Zidane.. i seriously was flabbergasted at what happened.. i think for the rest of the penalty shootout, it was "why on earth zidane did that?"
world cup is over officially. without WC, my winter in Sg would have been crap. real crap. met SM last arvo for pool. hmms. maybe should touch my physiol book that i left behind since semi-finals started. Next sem: Physiol, Pharmaco, Neuroanat, Clinics, Acqd lang disorder, Adult Mtr Spch... i think i should be dying next sem. sigh.. but first, a void that cant be filled-- soccer withdrawal sympton..
and yes, as world cup is over, the fad will die.. so will my "recent craze" over CR. HAHA.. right, i dunno if i blogged about me and my portugal red shoes (i bought a converse world cup edition of portugal sneakers w portugal flag n colours-- bright red n green).. on the verge of regretting that buy cause i chose it over a double tongue shoe which looked classier. but oh well, im known for wearing strange coloured shoes (bright lime green is one).. so, forget it.. and ya, i bought another pair of heels.. its GOLD. :P strange strange me. and ya, CR.. no matter how cute ur, its wrong to bite the hand that fed you and groomed you to what you're today. i think you're disappointing Alex Fergie.. stabbed him at where it hurts.
mum n dad have been a little worried about my taste for guys.. they saw CR on the papers and on my laptop.. and commented "Bree ar, why do u like guys who look like ah bengs?" uh... it makes me think of a v common phrase... "nan ren bu huai, nu ren bu ai" translated, guys have to be bad for girls to love.. not my fault that these ah bengs look cute and they're my type right.. haha. but CR alr score zero points on morals le, and so, zero points for the in-laws too. HAHAHAHA..
k larz, i should stop dreaming about being a WAG. no hope of being one. soccer players are attracted to models like bees to honey. CR's 2 prev exes were models too.. soccer players earn gigantic sums of $, that i dont really think that its believable and realistic.. though being a WAG means ur really extremely rich.. but, sigh. not practical, not believable, not realistic. so, ya.. thou will not be supporting CR n Portugal as much le~
alrighty, one more stats to my little WC memory:
Mr Gentleman and Mr Manly of the WC - Luis Figo.. (zidane, u could have made it here.. but u headed a human instead of a goal. im sorry.)
Luis Figo.. really very manly.. extremely manly... haha. that kind of guy that i'd like.. cause im someone who's extremely insecure... haha. ya, i think i need security. a guy who can provide it.
world cup is over. relive the moments.
pls: a very good n cheap 21st birthday present can be a cd collection of ALL 64 matches recorded and burnt on cds. :P i go for the thought of the gift, not the price of the gift.. so, cds are cheap.. but, it is extremely touching for anyone to go all out to collect the videos of the 64 matches and burn it for me.. haha. i never said buying presents for me were easy right..
back to a miserable life w.o soccer.
